Fernhill Beach is on Half Moon Lake in Alton, at the southern tip of New Hampshire’s Lakes Region.
We are 10 minutes from Alton Bay and the southern tip of Lake Winnipesaukee, 20 minutes from Wolfeboro, and 35 minutes from Weirs Beach in Laconia.
You can hike Mt. Major for beautiful views of Winnipesaukee from above, or cruise the lake on the famous Mt. Washington. There are scenic drives and old-fashioned train rides that offer gorgeous views as well.
Weirs Beach has an old-fashioned boardwalk, mini golf, go-karts, and restaurants, and a classic drive-in.
It even has the world’s largest arcade — Funspot! (Apparently, it is a confirmed Guinness World Record)
